On the occasion of the 10th Export Day, the Export Council of Nepal (ECON), in partnership with the Trade and Export Promotion Centre (TEPC), organized a two-day Export Exhibition to promote and showcase a diverse range of Nepal’s export products.
The event was officially inaugurated by Mr. Ram Sharan Thapaliya, President of ECON; Mr. Rabindra Shakya, President of the Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal; and Mr. Sarad Bikram Rana, Executive Director of TEPC. The program was hosted by Mr. Hari Dhakal as the Master of Ceremony.
The exhibition featured a wide array of high-quality Nepali export products, including apparel made from cotton, linen, silk, and wool; metal statue handicrafts; pottery; singing bowls; decorative items; and dairy products. Alongside these products, service-oriented organizations played a key role in strengthening the export ecosystem.
Our organization actively participated in the exhibition by presenting its export facilitation platform, which supports Nepalese manufacturers in accessing international markets. Through direct engagement with exporters, producers, and stakeholders, we highlighted practical solutions for market access, trade coordination, and export readiness, reinforcing our commitment to promoting Nepalese products globally.
The exhibition attracted a strong turnout of visitors and industry stakeholders, generating meaningful interest in Nepal’s export potential. The event was followed by the 28th Annual General Meeting of ECON, during which a new President and Board of Directors were elected for the Nepali fiscal year 2082/83.
Overall, the Export Exhibition served as an effective platform to highlight both the challenges and opportunities in Nepal’s export sector. It also facilitated dialogue, networking, and collaboration among exhibitors, exporters, financial institutions, and service providers, including our organization, which continues to play an active role in building practical trade relationships and advancing Nepal’s export growth.
