The Export Council of Nepal (ECON), with the support of the Trade and Export Promotion Centre (TEPC), successfully conducted a one-day training program on HS Code Classification and REX Compliance on 6th February 2026 at Yatri Suites and Spa, Thamel. The program brought together exporters, cargo personnel, artisans, and traders, including participation from the B2BNepal team.

The training featured two specialized sessions delivered by industry experts. The session on REX Compliance was facilitated by Mr. Rajendra Singh, Deputy Director of TEPC, who provided valuable insights into regulatory requirements and compliance procedures essential for smooth export operations. The second session focused on HS Code classification, conducted by Mr. Min Bahadur Kunwar, Senior Officer of TEPC, highlighting the importance of accurate product classification in international trade and customs clearance.
The event was chaired by Dr. Ram Sharan Thapaliya, with Mr. Sarad Bikram Rana, Executive Director of TEPC, as the Chief Guest. The program was also honored by the presence of Mr. Sushil Prasad, Director of the Customs Department, alongside ECON council members and other distinguished participants.

The program commenced with the national anthem and the ceremonial lighting of the diya, followed by the training sessions and an interactive question-and-answer segment. Overall, the training served as an excellent platform for stakeholders across sectors to gain practical knowledge and strengthen their understanding of key compliance requirements for Nepal’s export industry.
